Fulton Market land could go from trash heap to cash heap

That once was trash is now treasure in the Fulton Market district, where a waste hauler is looking to sell 2.5 acres of gritty land now believed to be worth tens of millions of dollars. Republic Services is putting four parcels up for sale along Metra train tracks on the northern edge of the fast-changing district, said brokerage Jones Lang LaSalle, which is seeking a single buyer interested in developing the land.
