Developer Gary Kachadurian is doubling down in the Fulton River District, where he plans new apartments and condominiums. A venture led by the Lombard-based developer is under contract to buy two properties at Grand Avenue and Green Street, where he has proposed two residential buildings totaling 44 units, according to zoning applications filed with city officials. A new, five-story building at 440-446 N. Green would house eight condos and a six-story building around the corner at 851-855 W. Grand would include 36 apartments, Kachadurian said. He declined to discuss the projects further. He's teeing up the projects as rents and condo prices rise across Chicago, encouraging new developments.
