Siena Tavern offshoot taking shape in West Loop

After finding success with his nearly two-year-old Siena Tavern, it appears celebrity chef Fabio Viviani will play a role in a new bar and restaurant on Randolph Row. Chicago-based DineAmic Group, the team behind Siena Tavern, Mercato, Bull & Bear and Public House, would not confirm Viviani's involvement in the space at 832 W. Randolph St., but the group has taken out a city permit under the name Bar Siena LLC. Partner Lucas Stoioff said the group has begun a full-scale renovation of the cavernous, two-story space formerly occupied by Dragonfly Mandarin Restaurant, with plans to open a bar and restaurant there as soon as this summer.
