Nerds need more room to roam in West Loop

Chicago nerds are on the move, and they're multiplying fast. The Nerdery, a custom software design and development company, plans to add about 100 employees in Chicago and is more than doubling its office space in a move within the West Loop. The Bloomington, Minn.-based firm said it signed a long-term lease for 24,500 square feet at 1033 W. Van Buren St., where it will move in November. The firm had seven employees when it arrived here in 2010.
