Baxter spinoff adds West Loop office

The recent spinoff of Baxter International is spinning off some workers to a new downtown office. Biopharma firm Baxalta leased two floors, or about 83,000 square feet, in the 30-story office tower at 540 W. Madison St., the company said. When the West Loop office is fully operational by mid-2016, some Baxalta employees will work there full-time and others will split time between there and the company's headquarters in north suburban Bannockburn, spokesman Geoffrey Mogilner said.
