Sarah Grueneberg, who rose from line cook to executive chef at Spiaggia within four years, has opened her long-awaited Italian restaurant in the West Loop. The former "Top Chef" runner-up's restaurant, Monteverde, opens for dinner this evening at 1020 W. Madison St. Her partner in the project is Meg Sahs, who also was a line cook at Spiaggia. Sahs most recently was executive chef at Terzo Piano at the Art Institute of Chicago's Modern Wing. Read More...
