Soho House developer Shapack plans new hotel a block away

One of the developers that brought the first hotel to Chicago's Fulton Market district is planning a larger one a block away, in anticipation of swelling demand from thousands of new office workers, shoppers and residents. Chicago-based Shapack Development has filed plans with the city seeking approval to construct an 11-story hotel building at the corner of Green and Lake streets in the neighborhood west of the Kennedy Expressway. The site is about a block north of the 40-room Soho House hotel that Shapack and Chicago-based A.J. Capital Partners completed last year at 113-125 N. Green St.   Read More...
