McDonald’s ‘vendor village’ ready to break ground in Chicago’s West Loop

Chicago’s rapidly-changing Fulton Market is ready to welcome another new development designed to compliment McDonald’s corporate relocation to the West Loop. Slated for a vacant lot at the northwest corner of Lake and Carpenter, the so-called ‘vendor village’ landed its first building permit yesterday. When completed next year, the 200,000-square-foot structure will accommodate roughly 1,000 employees from a number of secondary companies expected to follow the fast food giant downtown in 2018.
