Fifield cashing out on West Loop office building

Steve Fifield is keeping the hot streak alive for loft office buildings downtown. A venture of the Chicago developer has a deal to sell a vintage eight-story West Loop building for $23.5 million after buying it less than three years ago, according to a source familiar with the deal. Fifield, best known for his work on high-rise buildings, is selling the property, 600 W. Jackson Blvd., to a venture of San Francisco-based Stockbridge Capital Group in another sign of heightened interest from major investors in such brick-and-timber buildings. Read More....
