Office building a go next to Google—with new owner

A seven-story office building is set to rise next to Google's Midwest headquarters in the Fulton Market District from a Chicago developer making his first foray into the trendy neighborhood. Murphy Development Group is buying the former Sam's Meat warehouse at 328 N. Carpenter St. from a venture led by New York-based Madison Capital and will take the reins on the nearly 100,000-square-foot project that Madison won city approval last year to build, developer John Murphy confirmed.
