A prime West Loop lot at 845 W. Madison Street, vacant since the demolition of the former H2O Plus lotion and shampoo manufacturing facility in January, is ready to begin its transformation into one of the neighborhood’s most substantial apartment projects to date. The block-sized site bordered by Monroe, Peoria, Madison, and Green streets will become the home of a pair of new apartment building rising 15 and 17 stories. Developed by the John Buck Company and Lendlease and designed by Chicago’s GREC Architects, the towers will share a base containing retail space, tenant amenities, roughly 300 parking spots, and a collection of for-rent townhomes.
