Developer doubles down on Fulton Market

After betting on the western boundary of the Fulton Market District, Trammell Crow is wagering it can draw companies to the trendy corridor's northern edge, too. A venture of the Dallas-based developer wants to build a 16-story office building at 400 N. Aberdeen St., according to a zoning application filed with the city. The proposal would replace low-slung office and industrial buildings and a parking lot along Kinzie Street between Aberdeen and May streets with a building that includes 395,000 square feet of offices and 12,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, the application shows.
