Sterling Bay Cos., which already has bought more than two dozen buildings in the city's meatpacking district, is at it again. The Chicago-based developer paid $3.85 million July 9 for a 13,000-square-foot building at 172 N. Ada St., according to Cook County property records. Sterling Bay, which has been gobbling up properties in the neighborhood for office and retail development, acquired the building from Takis Royal Foods Inc., which has owned it for 22 years and plans to move out.  Read More...
