Maxwell Street-Inspired 'Regards To Edith' Coming To Google Building

The Google building will soon be getting a new restaurant inspired by Chicago's historic Maxwell Street. Helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Jared Wentworth, Heisler Hospitality will open Regards To Edith in the former Smack Shack space in the 1K Fulton building, 326 N. Morgan St. The restaurant is slated to open late this summer. The new restaurant will celebrate the global flavors and culinary traditions of Maxwell Street and its century-old market. At Regards to Edith, Wentworth plans to put his own riffs on Maxwell classics like the pork chop sandwich, flaming Halloumi, a Vesuvio-style dish featuring octopus in place of chicken and a Matzoh ball soup with the addition of truffle oil and foie gras.
