As Sterling Bay continues work on McDonald's new headquarters in the red-hot Fulton Market District, the developer has landed its first tenant at another big office building up the street. Construction company Leopardo signed a long-term lease for 24,000 square feet at 210 N. Carpenter St., a 12-story building that Sterling Bay plans to open next year, the companies announced. Leopardo also is building the office and retail project, with construction slated to begin this month. Sterling Bay has helped transform the area from an industrial meatpacking corridor into a trendy hub for restaurants and office space.
