Approved today by City Council, the $4.5 million branch library planned for an existing, 16,500-square-foot building at 118 N. Aberdeen St. is the first major project to be funded by Mayor Emanuel's Local Impact Fund, which is financed by downtown construction projects. Build-out work will be completed by current owner Sterling Bay.
