Fulton Market getting its first Walgreens

The Fulton Market District is hitting another benchmark on its journey from industrial zone to trendy work and play neighborhood: The arrival of its first Walgreens. The drugstore chain will open a roughly 13,000-square-foot location facing Randolph Street in the new McDonald's headquarters building at 110 N. Carpenter St., sources familiar with the deal confirmed. In addition, the new nine-story global home of the Golden Arches that will open in coming weeks will include a FedEx store in about 2,500 square feet and a McDonald's restaurant whose menu will feature fare from the fast food giant's restaurants around the world, according to sources.
