Office development ready to rise at the corner of Halsted and Fulton Market

A parking lot next to the neon Fulton Market District “neighborhood gateway” is preparing to bite the dust and be replaced by a new, seven-story boutique office building. Located at the southwest corner of Halsted and Fulton Market, the freshly-permitted faux warehouse style structure comes from Chicago-based Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture and developer Shapack Partners. Responsible for the Soho House hotel and private club, Shapack recently broke ground on the Hoxton Hotel at the corner of Lake and Green streets and has zoning in place for office projects at both 801 W.
